The mission of the Dakota County Child Abuse Prevention Council (CAPC) is to raise awareness about child abuse and advocate for child abuse prevention. Each year in April, during Child Abuse Prevention Month, the CAPC sponsors the
blue ribbon awareness campaign.
The CAPC consists of concerned residents and professionals, plus representatives from Dakota County Social Services, County Attorney's, and Public Health departments. The CAPC meets generally on the fourth Tuesday of each month from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. All meetings are open to the public.
