Dakota County Law Library and the Dakota County Library System, the Dakota County Law Library – Apple Valley is located in the Legal Reference area of the
Galaxie Library, in Apple Valley.
Two computer workstations provide access to online services from Lexis and Westlaw. These feature many useful resources, including:
- all state and federal statutes, cases and regulations
- Shepard’s Citations and Keycite
- Dunnell’s Minnesota Digest
- Employment in Minnesota
- Minnesota Family Law Practice Manual
- Minnesota Residential Real Estate, and several other important Minnesota titles.
A core collection of print resources supplements this online service. These include Minnesota statutes, case law, rules and treatises. For the layperson, there are many texts on common legal issues such as divorce, custody, bankruptcy, consumer issues, landlord/tenant, wills and estate planning, probate, real estate, and conciliation court.
The Dakota County Law Library – Apple Valley is staffed by a law librarian Monday through Friday, 12:30 – 4:30 p.m., phone 952-891-7135. Access to the online and print resources is available during Galaxie Library’s
open hours.
