The Dakota Woods Dog Park offers 16 acres of fenced and wooded space for dogs to run off leash. There is no surface water at the park.
A pass is required to use the dog park. The 2010 Dakota Woods Dog Park Pass will be available for sale beginning Friday, Dec. 4, 2009. If you purchased a 2009 pass, you have the option of
renewing online.
Hours: Daily, 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.

- Daily Pass: $5
- Annual Pass: $42.85 ($40+$2.85 tax)
Purchasing a new pass:
A pass is required to use the dog park. Failure to purchase a pass could result in citation and fine. The pass fee is due at the time of purchase. Passes are available as follows:
- Daily pass ($5):
- may be purchased at the trailhead
- exact cash or check only (payable to Dakota County Parks)
- no attendant on duty
- Annual pass ($42.85):
- requires completion of an application to be submitted with fee and applied for as follows:
- in person at the Dakota County Western Service Center, 14955 Galaxie Ave, Apple Valley, third floor
- by mail to Dakota County Western Service Center, 14955 Galaxie Ave, Apple Valley, 55124
- or by calling 952-891-7000 (Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.)
