Private Nature Program Topic Descriptions
Common topics for Private Nature Programs are listed below.  Choose one of these topics or work with a park naturalist to develop a unique nature program for your group. 

School Field Trips
Extend your teaching beyond the walls of the classroom. Take your students on a Dakota County field trip!

Badge Work for Scouts:
Work with a park naturalist to complete a science or nature badge for your scout troop.

Visitor Center Sustainability Tour
Tour the Lebanon Hills Visitor Center and make recycled paper.

Nature Hikes
Take a guided hike with a park naturalist. Try a night hike to learn about wildlife adaptations.

Seasonal Recreation Activities
Try a snowshoe hike in the winter or a canoeing program in the summer with a park naturalist as your guide. Available seasonably as conditions permit. Activity fee does not include snowshoe rental.

Naturalist Presentation
A park naturalist will work with your group to design a nature program on a topic of your choice (ex. birds, wetlands, mammals, wildflowers, etc.) Indoor programs may require additional facility fees.
