For Teens

Dakota County teens showed their writing skills in the annual Short Story Content. Teens wrote a 1,000-word story based on the image below. Stories were judged on creativity, clarity, style, form and meaning. Winners received a free copy of the printed anthology of all stories submitted.

The Teen Short Story Contest was made possible through financial support from the Dakota County Library Foundation.

2012 Teen Short Story Contest Winners
Age 12–14

Age 15–18
