Notice is hereby given of a public hearing to amend Dakota County Ordinance No. 110–Solid Waste Management. The public hearing will take place on Tuesday, June 18 at 9 a.m. at the Administration Center, third floor, 1590 Highway 55, Hastings, MN 55033 The major amendments in Ordinance No. 110 that are being proposed include:
- The addition of a new Section 3.11 regulating the off-site use of minimally contaminated soil from development projects and road construction projects. This new section adds a definition for “minimally contaminated soil” and sets out use restrictions, exclusions, and sampling requirements for the re-use of minimally contaminated soil.
- Renumbering current Section 3.11 (Highest Standards Prevail) to Section 3.21.
Copies of the proposed amendments are at all Dakota County Library locations, at the Dakota County Treasurer/Auditor’s Office, and on the Dakota County website or can be requested from the County’s Environmental Resources Department at 952-891-7543.
Interested agencies, groups, or persons attending the public hearing shall have the right to provide written or oral comments.
