fishing.jpgSummer fishing and winter ice fishing are popular sports in Minnesota.  Varieties of fish from Sunfish to Northern Pike are located in select lakes in Dakota County Parks.

Take a Kid Fishing Event
Come to Thompson County Park’s North Picnic Shelter on Sunday, June 9 from noon–4 p.m. to learn how to set up a rod, tie on tackle and cast a line — all for free. All ages and abilities are welcome.  No experience, supplies or fishing license are needed. Registration is required.

Participants can come anytime during the event to try hands-on fishing activities, exchange lead tackle or see live fish.

Food will be available to purchase from Gourmet Solutions.

Volunteers are needed for the event to assist at the different stations. Go to the Volunteer Sign-Up for more information.
