Join us for a grand opening celebration of a one-of-a-kind park on Saturday, Sept. 27 from 11 a.m.–3 p.m. The event will feature live music by nationally known band The Honeydogs, horse-drawn wagon rides, a 5K Fun Run/Walk, food and fun.

11-11:45 a.m.: Ribbon cutting and lake dedication

Parking: Due to limited onsite parking, free event parking is available offsite. Continuous shuttles to and from the park will be available at the Empire Transportation Center, 2800 160th Street W, Rosemount, and Rosemount Research and Outreach Center at UMORE Park, 1605 160th Street W, Rosemount.
Look for signs and parking staff. Shuttle rides will start at 10:30 a.m. and pick-up every 15 minutes. The last shuttle ride leaves Whitetail Woods Regional Park at 4 p.m. See parking map.
Food: Hot concessions and cold beverages will be available to purchase.
What to bring: Bring trail running shoes and clothes if you plan to participate in the 5K Fun Run & Walk. Bring your own kite for kite flying. Dress for the weather and bring lawn chairs and blankets for seating.
Volunteers needed: Volunteers are needed from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. the day of the event to fill the positions of parking attendants, greeters, kite fliers, fun run registration staff, bonfire tenders, geocaching assistants and green squad helpers. Volunteers must be age 16 or older, or work with the supervision of an adult if younger than 16. Sign up now.
