The Planning Commission reviews new plans and policies and makes recommendations to the county board.
Dakota County prepares plans to protect and improve regional parks, greenways, natural areas, transportation facilities, and water resources, as well as manage solid waste and protect the environment. These plans are important to the quality of life of Dakota County residents and are guided by a set of overarching goals. The Planning Commission may also work on special projects as assigned by the county board.
