City of Apple Valley — An Aging Population

As Apple Valley's population of older adults grows larger, more older adults will need extra resources, services, and programs to age in place and contribute to their community.

According to the United States Census Bureau, Apple Valley had a population of 55,336 in 2023. More than 16 percent of those people were 65 years or older:

  • 65+ years - 16.5%
  • 65-74 years – 10.1%
  • 75-84 years – 4.6%
  • 85 years and over – 1.8%
