The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH)​ licenses and inspects food and beverage, pool and spa, and lodging establishments in Dakota County.

Report a suspected foodbo​rne or wate​rborne illness 

You can report a concern by doing one or more of the following:​

• Call 1-877-FOOD-ILL (1-877-366-3455). 
• Submit an online Foodborne and Waterborne Illness Report.
• Email your name and phone number to health.foodill@state.mn.us. 
• File a restaurant or food service complaint using the MDH online complaint form.
• File a retail food business (i.e., bakeries, grocery and convenience stores) complaint using the Minnesota Department of Agriculture online complaint form.
• Submit any other questions and concerns related to lodging establishments using the MDH licensing contact us form.
