County Project 28-44
Dakota County and City of Eagan are improving intersections on Yankee Doodle Road (County Road 28) from Wescott Woodlands/Columbia Drive to east of Erlene Road. The intersections of Mike Collins Drive/Ivy Lane and Erlene Road will also be improved. These improvements will include:
- Construction of a restricted access intersection at the Mike Collins Drive/Ivy Lane
- Installation of a new traffic signal and roadway geometric changes at Erlene Road
- New right turn lane at Yankee Doodle Road and Wescott Square
- ADA pedestrian ramp improvements
- Upgrades to the median and striping
- Pavement resurfacing
Project timeline
June-October 2024, weather dependent
Construction on Yankee Doodle Road will be complete by the end of the day on Sept. 6. Permanent striping will be done next spring.
