The public meeting will be held on Feb. 7, 2023 at 2 p.m., in Conference Room 110, Northern Service Center, 1 Mendota Road West, West St. Paul.
As a condition of the Minnesota Opioids State-Subdivision Memorandum of Agreement, Dakota County must consult annually with our municipalities regarding future use of the settlement funds, including by holding an annual meeting that is open to the public. The meeting is intended for municipalities to provide input as to proposed uses of the opioid settlement funds and to encourage collaboration.
The focus of this year's meeting will be to share background on the settlement, data on the impact of the opioid crisis in Dakota County, the eligible uses of the funds, an estimate of the funds Dakota County will receive and provide an opportunity for municipalities and the public to share ideas on programs and services. Staff have asked that each municipality send at least one representative to the meeting.
