Enjoy parks by flickering candlelight. A variety of cross-country ski, snowshoe, hiking and walking trails will be lit with hundreds of candles. Warm up with hot cocoa and crackling bonfires. Hot cocoa provided. Food trucks available for purchase.
Dogs not allowed. Service animals welcome.
Dakota County Parks ski pass required for skiers.

Enjoy the views of the Mississippi River from the plowed Mississippi River Greenway — all by candlelight. Free parking available onsite.

The event will include:
- About 2.5 miles of paved hiking and snowshoeing trails
- Bonfire stops along trails
- Hot cocoa station inside the Schaar's Bluff Gathering Center
Due to conditions, the ski trails will not be groomed or lit for the event this year.

Cost is $8 per person. Ages 5 and under are free, no ticket required. Pre-purchasing tickets is highly recommended. To maintain a high-quality event, tickets are limited.

Weather cancellation policy
Full refunds will be issued if the event is canceled due to weather. If forecast 24 hours in advance calls for the air temperature to be minus 5 degrees Fahrenheit or the wind chill to be minus 20 degrees below zero Fahrenheit at 9 p.m. , the event will be canceled.
Volunteers needed
Help tend bonfires, set out lights, assist with s'mores and cocoa, greet guests, and more. Inside and outside shifts available.
Volunteers helping us with pre-event luminary set out and lighting will receive a free ticket to the event.
