Children's Water Festival
The Metro Area Children’s Water Festival is open to all metro area fourth grade classes. The festival raises the participant's understanding of water in everyday life. The one-day festival is held each September at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. A limited number of classrooms may participate in the Children's Water Festival.

The Recycling Zone Tours
Dakota County provides free tours of The Recycling Zone to Dakota County residents, educational organizations and other community groups based in Dakota County. Tour participants will learn about basic recycling and the importance of proper management of household chemicals and other problem materials. Tour de Trash
The Tour de Trash is an all-day field trip to waste and recycling facilities reoccurring annually. The field trip takes participants to a landfill, compost site, recycling center, and The Recycling Zone. Tour de Trash is open to all Dakota County residents aged 16 and over. A $20 registration fee covers busing and lunch.

Deadline for registration is Nov. 9. To ensure a positive learning experience, field trip size is limited to 30 people on a first-come, first-served basis. The minimum number of attendees is 10.
