Some lumber is treated to protect it from water damage and prevent rot. It can create environmental problems when burned. Do not burn.

Bring treated wood – including railroad ties, green treated and pressure treated wood – to a landfill or ask your hauler for a one-time, large-item pickup.

Treated wood is also accepted at the following businesses. Call first.
