Garbage

Some lumber is treated to protect it from water damage and prevent rot. It can create environmental problems when burned. Do not burn.

Bring treated wood — including railroad ties, green treated and pressure treated wood — to a landfill or transfer station or ask your hauler for a one-time, large-item pickup.
