Dakota County Attorney James Backstrom announced that Robert Steven Reischauer, age 63 of Apple Valley, was sentenced today by Judge Patrice Sutherland to 180 days in jail and 20 years of probation in connection with the theft of funds from the Rosemount Area Athletic Association (RAAA) between 2011 and 2013. Reischauer was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $113,532. Reischauer pled guilty to five counts of Theft on August 19, 2015.
Reischauer stole money by fraudulently writing checks to himself and paying for his PayPal and Amazon accounts with Association funds while he was employed as the finance manager for the RAAA. It was discovered that Reischauer had been issuing checks to himself and would delete them from the accounting records he presented to the RAAA board.
