Former Eagan Day Care Provider Sentenced for Manslaughter in Connection with the Death of a Child in Her Care - Greenagel, Beverly Anne
​Dakota County Attorney James Backstrom announced that Beverly Anne Greenagel, age 66 of Eagan, was sentenced today by Judge Michael Mayer to 45 days in jail and 10 years of probation in connection with the death of 3½ month old Dane Joseph Ableidinger on August 18, 2011, while he was in Greenagel’s care at her home day care facility.  Greenagel pled guilty December 3, 2013, to one count of Manslaughter in the Second Degree (a felony).  The additional counts of Manslaughter in the Second Degree (a felony), Endangerment of a Child, Neglect of a Child and Interference with a Death Scene (all gross misdemeanors) have been dismissed.

Backstrom commented: “Our deepest sympathy is extended to the family of Dane Ableidinger for their great loss.”
