Dakota County Attorney Kathy Keena announced that Corey Steven Ryman, age 41 of St. Paul, has been charged* with one count each of Assault in the Second Degree (Dangerous Weapon) and Felon in Possession of a Weapon, in connection with a shooting that took place on January 15, 2023, at a business in Apple Valley, injuring a 20-year-old male.

Keena commented: “I wish to commend the Apple Valley Police Department for their work in the investigation of this incident that led to the apprehension of the suspect. I wish the shooting victim continued success throughout his recovery."
Ryman made his first appearance on these charges today and bail was set in the amount of $500,000 without conditions ($150,000 with conditions) by Judge Kathryn Messerich. Ryman's next court appearance is March 8, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. in Hastings.
