Dakota County Attorney James Backstrom announced that Daniel Anthony Cruz-Hernandez, age 21 from Roseville, was sentenced today to 306 months in prison by Judge Jerome Abrams in connection with the stabbing death and robbery of Jordan David Paredes, age 19 of Oakdale. Cruz-Hernandez was convicted by a Dakota County jury on December 18, 2018, of Aiding and Abetting Intentional Murder in the Second Degree, Aiding and Abetting Felony Murder in the Second Degree, and Aiding and Abetting Aggravated Robbery in the First Degree. These offenses occurred in South St. Paul in the early morning hours of August 2, 2017.
