South St. Paul Man Charged With Threats to St. Paul Police and a State Trooper Made Through Social Networking Posts – Harrison William Rund
Dakota County Attorney James Backstrom announced that Harrison William Rund, age 20, has been charged* with Terroristic Threats (a felony) for making multiple threats to kill St. Paul Police Officers and a State Trooper through Twitter posts made following his receipt of a speeding ticket issued by the Minnesota State Patrol on February 4, 2014.

Additional facts pertaining to this case can be found in the criminal complaint which is located online at: Criminal Complaint Search.  While in custody, a mug shot can be viewed at: Inmate Search.

Backstrom commented:  “Threats to harm police or law enforcement officials are always taken seriously and will not be tolerated.  By this charge we are alleging that these threatening comments were made in reckless disregard of the risk of causing fear to law enforcement officers and the community.”

Rund was arrested on February 4, 2014, and is currently in custody in Ramsey County.  He will be transported to the Dakota County Jail and will make his first appearance on this charge either tomorrow, February 7, 2014, or Monday, February 10, 2014, in Hastings.
