A countywide enforcement effort designed to combat distracted driving has been scheduled for Wednesday, April 5, 2017, commencing at 8:00 a.m. In addition to extra enforcement specifically targeting distracted drivers, donated cell phone sleeves will be distributed to our younger, more inexperienced drivers, to hopefully help them avoid the temptation to talk/text on their phones while driving.
Members of the media are encouraged to attend a briefing at the event kick off at 8 a.m. on April 5, at the Dakota Communications Center, 2860 160th Street West, Rosemount. Afterwards, members of the media will be allowed to ride with law enforcement officers in their patrol vehicles to experience the effort first-hand.
For more information regarding this enforcement effort, please contact Captain Pat Enderlein at 651- 438-4752 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
