Arts enthusiasts of all ages can enjoy a variety of entertainment and activities at Dakota County's first Arts in the Park Saturday, Aug. 3.
Arts in the Park will be held 1–4 p.m. at Thompson County Park, 360 Butler Ave., West St. Paul.
The event will feature nearly three dozen local organizations offering professional performances and opportunities for the public to learn painting, dancing, printing and other arts. Musicians and dancers will take the stage indoors and outdoors, while attendees explore hands-on art stations and local arts organizations share information about how to get involved.
Arts in the Park is for all ages. There will be free parking on site. Concessions will be available for purchase from Buon Cibo food truck, including vegetarian and gluten-free options.
The event is co-sponsored by Dakota County Parks and Dakota County Public Arts, a citizen commission that makes recommendations to the Board of Commissioners about art in County buildings.
