The Dakota County Historical Society will host the annual Harvest Haunting and Candlelit Tours events at the LeDuc Historic Estate Oct. 27-30. The Candlelit Tours will begin at 7 p.m., 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. Each tour will be capped at 10 people each to allow for proper social distancing. Face coverings must be worn while on the tour. Pre-registration for the event is required.
Admission to Candlelit Tours is $10 for adults and $8 for Historical Society members and students ages 17 and under. This event may not be suitable for children under the age of 13. Check-in for the event will be in the Simmons Shed, located next to the chicken coop. Lighting will be provided for you.
Using candlelight, take a dimly lit tour of everyone's favorite 1866 Gothic Revival Mansion. During the tour, you will explore the history of Victorian spiritualism and seances. As you make your way through the house, you will meet and hear stories of the site's past. At the end of each ghostly interaction, you will be given a clue that will help you answer a question at the end of the tour.
