Dakota County human services and public health nonprofits impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic may qualify for up to $10,000 with the county's CARES Nonprofit Relief Program.
Organizations eligible for the program are 501(c)(3) nonprofits that provide human services or public health services to Dakota County residents and:
- Have a permanent physical location in Dakota County.
- Can demonstrate significant financial hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Have incurred additional expenses due to COVID-19 that were not budgeted as of March 1, 2020.
- Are in good standing with the Minnesota Secretary of State, Minnesota Department of Revenue and Dakota County as of March 1, 2020.
Eligible expenses include facility adaptations or supplies to comply with safety guidelines, personal protective equipment costs, technology for remote service delivery and certain added services.
Applications will be accepted Sept. 7–Oct. 2 at 4 p.m. One application submitted per organization. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
