Dakota County Public Health will be hosting a free flu and COVID-19 vaccine clinic Dec. 29 for all community members. The updated COVID-19 booster for children ages 6 months to 5 years will also be available.
“Respiratory illnesses, like influenza, COVID-19 and RSV are all circulating at high levels in Minnesota," said Dakota County Public Health Supervisor Christine Lees. “Hospitals across the metro are very full, largely due to these preventable illnesses."
“We know vaccines are the best protection for our residents to stay safe," said Lees. “We're really happy to be able to offer this free clinic around the holidays when many families are gathering."
The event, from 12:30–5:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, will be at the Dakota County Northern Service Center in West St. Paul. All community members, regardless of insurance status, can receive the vaccines for free.
Flu and COVID-19 shots for people 6 months and older will be available. It is safe to receive both vaccines the same day.
Walk-ins are welcome, but registration is preferred. Register on the Immunization Clinics page.
The Northern Service Center is located at 1 Mendota Road W., West St. Paul.
