Homeowners are invited to learn about septic systems and private wells at an upcoming free workshop in Farmington.
The workshop will be from 6�8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14 at the Dakota County Extension and Conservation Center, 4100 220th St., Farmington. It is provided by the University of Minnesota and the Minnesota Department of Health.
Topics to be discussed at the workshop include:
- How septic systems function
- Proper maintenance of both septic systems and private drinking water systems
- Well water testing
- How to protect wells from contamination
- Chemicals of emerging concern
