The Dakota County Historical Society will open the Sibley Historic Site for the tour season starting on Saturday, May 28. The site will remain open throughout the summer on Saturdays and Sundays.
Tours will be given on the hour between 10 a.m.–3 p.m. Admission for the tours are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors (60 and older), $6 for students (ages 4–17) and free for children 4 and younger. Members of the Dakota County Historical Society, Minnesota Historical Society and Friends of the Sibley Historic Site receive free admission.
The Sibley Historic Site is located at 1357 Sibley Memorial Highway in Mendota, Minn. Registration is limited, so contact the Sibley Site at 651-452-1596 to reserve a spot. For more information, or to reserve online, please visit the Sibley Historic Site page.
Due to COVID-19, tour sizes will be limited. Visitors can register online to guarantee a spot as space allows. Walk-in visitors are welcomed, but spots cannot be guaranteed. For the most current tour information, please visit the Dakota County Historical Society website.
