The Sibley Historic Site will host two planting events. On Saturday, June 4 the Adult Planting Event will take place at the Sibley Site from 4:30–7:30 p.m. Admission to this event is $25 per person, $20 for members of the Dakota County Historical Society and Minnesota Historical Society, or $10 for students (16 and under). Registration includes complimentary sandwiches and water.
The Children's Planting Event will take place on Saturday, June 11 at the site from 4:30–6:30 p.m. Registration for this event is $10 per child with parent chaperones being free. Registration includes admission, snacks, water, plants, and seeds. A parent must remain with the child during the event.

During the planting events, attendees will learn about traditional Native American agriculture, followed by a hands-on learning experience. During the hands-on experience, you will plant a garden using the companion planting gardening technique.
