The WorkForce Centers in Dakota and Scott counties including Burnsville, West St. Paul and Shakopee have changed their names to CareerForce. This change is part of a major transition for Minnesota's entire workforce system, bringing multiple partners under the CareerForce brand. Unifying the state's workforce system will enhance customer service and improve outcomes for job seekers, employers, communities and Minnesota.
CareerForce launches with events planned around the state, including hiring events in Burnsville on Wednesday, Sept. 18 and Shakopee on Thursday, Sept. 19. Job seekers and employers can also access information on the new CareerForceMN.com website.
CareerForce is led by a collaborative partnership between the Minnesota Association of Workforce Boards, the Governor's Workforce Development Board and the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development.
