Dakota County, in cooperation with the City of West St Paul, will reconstruct Wentworth Avenue (County Road 8) from Delaware Avenue (County Road 63) to Livingston Avenue in West St. Paul. The project will reconstruct Wentworth Avenue to a two-lane roadway with curb and gutter, wider shoulders, turn lanes at appropriate intersections, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, the construction of drainage improvements, and minor improvements to the water main and sanitary sewer. The project will improve safety, traffic operations and drainage along Wentworth Avenue.

The intersection of Wentworth Avenue and Charlton Street will close on Friday, June 28 for about three weeks to reconstruct the intersection, weather permitting.
The contractor is finishing up the far west retaining wall and will continue with the retaining wall to the east between Bellows Street and Humboldt Avenue on the north side of the street and the retaining wall to between Charlton Street and Smith Street on the north side of the street. Storm sewer will also be placed between Charlton and Bellows. Utility companies will continue moving their facilities along the project limits.
All mailboxes along the project limits will be relocated to Charlton Street, north of Wentworth Avenue. The mailboxes will be placed on the west side of Charlton between the St. Stephen's Church parking lot entrances. See map of mailbox locations.
