Dakota County and the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) are cooperating on the construction of a full interchange at Trunk Highway (TH) 52 and County Road 86 (280th Street/Rochester Boulevard) in Randolph Township. The interchange will include construction of a bridge, exit/entrance ramps and loops, and realigning where Harry Avenue intersects County Road 86. In addition to the interchange construction, 1.3 miles of County Road 86 will be constructed from approximately 0.3 miles west of TH 52 to the Dakota/Goodhue County line near Cannon Falls.
The purpose of converting the existing at-grade intersection to an interchange is to increase safety and improve traffic flow at the TH 52/County Road 86 intersection.
