County Road 31 (Pilot Knob Road) from County Road 42 (150th Street) to County Road 33 (Diamond Path) in Apple Valley will be rehabilitated. Several inches of the existing pavement will be removed, or milled, and replaced with new asphalt. In addition, minor utility adjustments will be made to water main and storm sewer structures. The pedestrian push buttons for the signal systems at Upper 182nd Street and at 170th Street will be replaced. Replacement of sections of trail at intersections will provide better access for pedestrians.
Expect delays and temporary lane closures. For the safety of both the residents and the workers, please be patient.
Project timeline: June 25-July 2018
Expect single lane traffic in each direction on County Road 31 beginning on Monday, June 25. Lane closures will continue through mid-July to complete the minor utility adjustments and concrete work.
Some of the existing curb and gutter will be removed and replaced beginning Monday, June 25. Minor adjustments will be made to water main and storm sewer structures. This work will take about four weeks to complete.
Milling and paving activities will occur at a later date.
