SELF-e is a free discovery tool to reach readers and promote your book.
Upload your e-book using SELF-e, and we’ll include it in a statewide collection promoting local authors. In addition, Library Journal reviews each book submitted. Books they select will be included in a special curated collection, SELF-e Select, available to readers across the country.
Submissions must be in epub or pdf file format. You can use our free tool, Pressbooks, to export your book into one of these formats.
After your book is uploaded and reviewed, it will appear on the BiblioBoard reading platform. The initial review takes a few days and ensures that your book is technically sound and does not infringe on copyrights. The review process for SELF-e Select takes one to two months. You will be notified if your book is selected for this collection.
Get started with the Indie Author Project. You’ll need your library card number. Go to the Library Card page to learn how you can get one.
