Dakota County Library is committed to the health and safety of our public and staff.
Library locations closed through at least April 10
In accordance with the state and county, all Dakota County Library locations will be closed through at least Friday, April 10 or until further notice. This difficult decision was made in the interest of the public and our staff to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. We continue exploring creative solutions to serve our customers during this time.
In addition, all programs, events and meeting room reservations during this time have been canceled through May 31, 2020. Home Library Service and Homework Help will be unavailable during this time. We continue working with the state and county and will communicate any changes.
Due dates extended and holds paused
- Library materials do not need to be returned until after the library reopens
- Due dates for borrowed materials will automatically be extended to prevent overdue fines from accruing on customer accounts
- All holds on physical materials will be paused until the library reopens
