Library locations closed until further notice
In accordance with the state and county, all Dakota County Library locations will be closed until further notice. This difficult decision was made in the interest of the public and our staff to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. We continue exploring creative solutions to serve our customers during this time.
In addition, all in-person programs, events and meeting room reservations during this time have been canceled until further notice. Homework Help will be unavailable during this time.
Use a computer by appointment
Computers, printers, copiers, scanners, and fax machines are available by appointment for public use at all Dakota County Library locations. Visit our Use a Computer page for more information.
Curbside Pick-up services available
Use our Curbside Pick-up service to pick up books and other library materials at any Dakota County Library location. If you are unable to use Curbside Pick-up, you may qualify for our Books by Mail service.

Library due date extension ends June 30
The library's extension on due dates will expire on June 30, 2020. All items checked out beginning June 11, 2020 will be due three weeks from the date they are checked out.
Until the library reopens, overdue fines will not be charged and library materials will automatically renew up to two times, if they have not been requested by another customer. These temporary adjustments allow more flexibility for customers while our physical library locations remain closed. Outdoor books drops are open at all Dakota County Library locations for returns.
