The Dakota County Library provides resources that enhance the accessibility for all users. Below are services offered to residents who are hearing impaired.
Closed-Captioned Videos on VHS and DVD
When used with a closed-caption decoder, these videos display dialogue and narration on the screen. They are listed in the library catalog, search video recordings for the hearing impaired as well as by title.
Sign Language Interpreters
When requested in advance, the library will provide a sign language interpreter for library programs for either children or adults.
To request a sign language interpreter, email Renee Grassi at renee.grassi@co.dakota.mn.us.
