The Dakota County Library provides resources that enhance the accessibility for all users. Below are services offered to residents who are visually impaired.
Audio books are available on CD, Playaway and other downloadable formats. They are available for checkout at all buildings. These videos include a verbal description of the setting and action. Descriptive Video Service (DVS) video titles are listed in the library catalog, search video recordings for people with visual disabilities.
Large print materials
Materials in larger type face are available in fiction and nonfiction books and magazines. These are listed in the library catalog, search large print books as well as by author and title.

Calming space at Galaxie Library
Galaxie Library's calming space is specially designed for individuals who need a comforting space to regulate while at the Library, especially those with autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing differences, or other disability.
