A Special Board of Commissioners meeting will be held on Friday, March 20, 2020 at 9 a.m. for the purpose of considering the continuation of the state of emergency.
Governor Tim Walz declared a peacetime emergency (Emergency Executive Order 20-01), and the Dakota County Board of Commissioners Chair, Mike Slavik, declared a local state of emergency in Dakota County on March 17, 2020 in response to COVID-19. The Dakota County Manager has determined it is not practical or prudent to conduct an in-person County Board of Commissioners meeting due to the local state of emergency and social distancing guidelines.
Accordingly, Commissioners will participate in this meeting via telephone and the board meeting will be conducted under Minnesota Statutes section 13D.021 at the date and time stated above. Members of the public may view the meeting via live stream.
