Flag Day is a celebration of the American flag, and all it represents. Flag Day occurs each year on the anniversary of the flag's official adoption by the Continental Congress in the midst of the Revolutionary War on June 14, 1777.
Flag Day Open House Celebration
Join us for a Flag Day celebration recognizing military veterans and their family members. The event will include a presentation of colors by Rosemount VFW Post 9433, a flag training and a sharing about the meaning of Flag Day. Musician Charlie Maguire will perform songs written by and for veterans. Maquire was appointed the official “Centennial Troubadour" for Minnesota State Parks and has written songs with veterans from WWII, Korea, Vietnam and Iraq wars.
