Sewing Machine Basics
Join this two-part, beginner-friendly workshop to learn the basics of sewing. Presented by Make with Sam. Registration required. Registering for Part 1 automatically enrolls you in Part 2. For adults.
Part 1: Learn the basics from threading your sewing machine to creating straight stitches and basic seams. Gain the fundamentals of sewing and get ready to put your skills to use.
Part 2: Take your sewing machine mastery to the next level. Building on the foundations of Part 1, this class delves deeper into essential techniques, including seam finishes, buttonholes and zippers. Complete a more complex project and build your confidence and creativity with the sewing machine.

DIY: Open Sewing and Needlework Studio
Bring your own sewing, knitting, crocheting or other needlework projects for help from our staff expert. Learn something new or just to visit with friends while you work. Sewing machines, knitting needles and other tools will be available. Registration required. For adults and youth ages 12 and older.

DIY: Confetti and Crumbs
Create your own unique fabrics using dissolvable stabilizer, tulle and scraps left over from other projects. Let your creativity blossom as you make fabric collage pictures, placemats, clothes or ornaments. Machine sewing skills recommended. Registration required. For adults.
