Create a beautiful set of ceramic coasters using acrylic paint pouring method. Learn how to mix paints and use “dirty pour" or “flip cup" techniques to create mesmerizing abstract patterns that evoke frozen lakes and swirling snow to create a winter vibe. Dragon's Egg Art Surprise
Drop in for this unique workshop that is part creative challenge, part silly and magical interactive experience. Meet a spectacular handmade dragon puppet and receive a "dragon egg" pouch filled with hand-selected, surprise craft supplies such as fabrics, beads, buttons and more. Magnificent Mugs
Make a mug worthy of cocoa, tea or any favorite winter beverage. Use a variety of clay handbuilding techniques such as slab, coil and pinch methods. Then decorate your mug with colorful slips. Projects will be taken offsite by artist to be fired and clear glazed. Project will be ready to pick up from the library after three weeks. Presented by the Northern Clay Center. Teen Art Club: Intro to Beading Workshop

Upcycled Jewelry

Drop in any time to create paper from regionally harvested, invasive plants. Learn techniques in paper making and hear about the history of invasive plants in Minnesota. The paper made is unique, embedded with native prairie seeds, and carries a little piece of the Great Plains. Whether it hangs on the fridge or gets planted in the garden, handmade paper will grow the arts in your community. For youth ages 12-18.
