A rest stop along the Great River Road, Spring Lake Park Reserve is the "hidden jewel" of the Upper Mississippi River Valley.

Controlled burns this spring
Controlled prescribed burns are scheduled at Spring Lake Park Reserve on weekday mornings in March, April and May as safe weather conditions and project scheduling allow. Controlled burns are designed to help restore native prairie and oak savanna vegetation.
