You have the option to pay your library fines of $5 or more online by using your Visa or MasterCard credit or debit card.
Pay through your online library account
Beginning March 11, the Dakota County Library will change the way online credit card payments are made. The new system offers the following benefits:
- Single login for viewing account making payments.
- Specific fine/fee selection (subject to $5 minimum).
- Emailed receipts, if address is entered.
- Improved security for credit card payments.
Bills paid with new system will appear on statements as PP*DAKOTA COUNTY LIBRARY with an address of 651-4502925, MN. Pay your fines through your online account starting March 11.

Old way of paying available through March 26
You can continue to pay your fines and fees through the old e-commerce site through March 26. Pay your fines through e-commerce site.
Credit card payment options
You can pay full or partial payment of fines, but payment must be at least $5. Payments will be applied to the oldest charges first. You can’t pay more than you owe.
No convenience fee
You will not be charged any additional fees for paying with your credit card.
The library uses a separate website with an encryption certificate. Look for “https:” in the web address and the symbol on your browser, indicating a secure connection. Your credit card information is not stored on Library servers.
No refunds are given for lost items paid for and later returned. Please contact the Library for complete refund policy details.
Other payment options
You can pay in person by cash or check.
Credit card payments can only be taken online. Payment is not accepted over the phone and library staff members are not allowed to enter credit card information.
