You can check out seven-day state park passes from the library. The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and is teaming with public libraries to provide the passes.
The program provides a way for low-income communities across the state to visit state parks without the financial barrier.
How it works
- Passes are available in person only at Inver Glen Library and Kaposia Library. Passes are checked out on a first-come, first-served basis. Passes are not requestable, and there are no renewals.
- After checking out your pass, pick a state park to visit and go within seven days.
- Make sure to display your pass on your vehicle’s dashboard during your park visit.
- No returns necessary. Recycle the pass when done.
To check for current pass availability, go to the Library Catalog and search "Minnesota State Parks Library Pass."
