The Burnhaven Library was last renovated in 2010. The Burnhaven Library Renovation project will make necessary updates and reorganize the interior to improve in-demand spaces to better support services and technology. The project will include new furniture, equipment, accessibility improvements, and mechanical and electrical building system upgrades.
Dakota County contracted with HGA for the professional design services.
Work to date
Throughout 2025, our team developed the renovation design. Prior community feedback told us that the renovated library wants to provide spaces that balance active learning with relaxing, quiet spaces. Common requests included improved lighting, a refreshed children's play area, more study areas and to continue providing a strong book collection.
