Homework Help
The library is seeking volunteer tutors to provide Homework Help for students K-12 during the school year. Homework Help is offered at the Burnhaven Library in Burnsville, Galaxie Library in Apple Valley, Kaposia Library in South St. Paul and Wentworth Library in West St. Paul throughout the school year.
All volunteer opportunities are filled at this time.
Teen Advisory Groups
Lead with other teens in your community to help shape library events and services by joining one of our library Teen Advisory Groups. Use your talents and skills to represent the library, help prepare for special events, and make suggestions for books, events and spaces.

iLAB Volunteer Mentor
Share specialized skills related to one or more pieces of Maker equipment or software used in the iLAB such as quilting, sound mixing or graphic design.

Library Experience Support Volunteer
Help with projects and tasks that support the overall mission and success of the library. Tasks may include, but are not limited to, checking accuracy of shelves, cleaning AV material, cleaning picture book bins, dusting, watering plants, shredding paper and preparing supplies for library events.

Community Service Volunteer
This program is only for individuals who need to perform court-ordered community service hours, live in Dakota County and are 12-18 years of age.
If you qualify, you can only volunteer 1.5 hours per session and no more than 3-5 hours per week.
Applications take 3-5 business days to process. Hours can only be completed at any library branch.
