The Dakota County Law Library currently offers one monthly Continuing Legal Education session via Zoom. The Zoom presentation will require you to pre-register. If you are interested in attending the session, please contact the law library at least 24 hours ahead of the program. We cannot guarantee that you will receive a response to your email if it is received after that time frame.
If you are interested in attending future CLEs, please indicate this as well and your name will be placed on a list to receive monthly notifications about upcoming CLEs.
If you only contact the law library asking for information to attend a specific CLE, you will not be placed on the email notification list.

Basics of Personal Injury Law
June 18, noon-1 p.m.
Like most areas of law, a personal injury practice is complicated and has many landmines to avoid. This CLE will delve into the basics of personal injury law and the pitfalls to avoid along with strategies to maximize the outcomes for accident victims.
Presenter bio
Paul Otten has served the south metro as a personal injury trial attorney for more than 35 years. He has received significant jury verdicts, arbitration awards and settlements for his valued clients. He also gives back to the community by serving on the First District Ethics Committee for 15 years, serving as a referee for conciliation court in Dakota County and is a regular volunteer for Legal Assistance of Dakota County's Consumer Law Clinic.
