Adult offenders sentenced to serve time in the Dakota County Jail may be released for specified hours, with approval, in order to maintain current employment. The sentencing judge determines eligibility for work release. An offender must complete a 
Work Release Application to be considered for the program.
Corrections’ staff verifies employment status and work hours, then do spot compliance checks.
Male offenders

Female offenders
Female offenders are housed in the Ramsey County Jail and must comply with Ramsey County Work Release rules and procedures. For more information on the Ramsey County Work Release program, call 651-266-1400.
Program payment
Work Release costs $21 per day. An initial payment of $147 (7 days of Work Release) must be paid upon the program start and weekly thereafter.
