County Project 4-17
Dakota County and the City of West St. Paul are constructing a new trail and reconstructing portions of Butler Avenue from S. Robert Street (Highway 3) to Highway 52. The trail will be on the south side of Butler Avenue, from Robert Street to Sperl Street, and on the north side of Butler Avenue, from Sperl Street to Highway 52. The new trail will have current and future needs in mind. It will improve both safety and accessibility.
Road closures and detours
Westbound Butler Avenue between Sperl Street and Waterloo Avenue closed starting May 26 to finish the trail and the retaining wall. The detour will be Waterloo Avenue to Stanley Street back to Sperl Avenue.
