Mountain Biking

Page Content

Man taking a turn on his mountain bike at the West Trailhead.Dakota County offers scenic, wooded, single-track mountain bike trails that you can enjoy all summer and in winter when there is a lack of snow. The trails provide a challenge to even the hardiest biker. These trails are maintained by volunteers in partnership with the Minnesota Off-Road Cyclists.

Locations

  • Lebanon Hills Regional Park - West Trailhead

Parking

Free parking is available at the West Trailhead entrance on Johnny Cake Ridge Road. There is alternative parking located at the Galaxie Avenue entrance on Galaxie Avenue on the west side of the park with access to the bike trails. Check the trail conditions before you head out as mountain bike trails close at times when wet.

Learn how

Courses are available if you are new to the sport. See the Parks Calendar of Events for a full list of course offerings.

Electric-assist or pedal-assist bicycles are allowed wherever normal bicycles are allowed as long as they meet the definition in Minnesota Statute 169.011, Subdivision 27.
